New call to facilitate integration of Ukrainian SMEs in EU Single Market

Submitted by ECCP Team on 02 March 2023

The Single Market Programme has announced a new call for proposals aimed at facilitating the integration of Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) into the single market. This initiative will benefit businesses based in Ukraine, as well as displaced Ukrainian-registered companies that currently operate from within the EU. The ultimate goal is to support the recovery and development of the Ukrainian economy while also creating new opportunities for EU businesses to access markets in Ukraine or find alternative suppliers within the country.

To achieve this, a consortium must be established to select Ukrainian companies that can benefit from direct support and help them integrate into the single market. Special attention will be given to supporting women and social economy entrepreneurs. The consortium will leverage existing networks and infrastructures set up under European funding programmes to ensure that the proposed action is delivered in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible.

This call is a crucial step towards building stronger economic ties between the EU and Ukraine while also providing much-needed support to Ukrainian SMEs. By helping these businesses integrate into the single market, this initiative will help rebuild Ukraine as well as support it on its European path.
