CWP ORGANIZES A JOINT MISSION TO PERU TO IDENTIFY OPPORTUNITIES ON THE WATER SECTOR
The Catalan Water Partnership and Solartys have led a joint mission to Peru in order to explore and to identify opportunities in the water sector with ACCIO’s support.
Nine Catalan companies have participated in the joint mission to Peru, conducting meetings with the main public administrations responsible for water in the country (ANA, SUNASS o SEDAPAL), water associations of providers service companies (ANEPSSA) and some of the largest internationals companies already operating in Peru at the moment. This mission was organized within the framework of the edition of Expoagua Peru 2017 in Lima. In this sense, the CWP and the competence center of water of the Peru, responsible for coordinating the water fair, also explored how to increase and promote the participation of companies of the CWP in the next edition of Expoagua.
It should be noted that the Government of Peru has considered water as the main topic to invest within next few years, with a forecast of 12.000M$ in the period 2017-2021, in order to ensure the water supply and the wastewater treatment in 100% of the urban areas and in most of the rural areas. Likewise, phenomena such as the "Niño Costero" opens opportunities for the reconstruction and modernization of the infrastructures
