Cluster4Smart: first online training platform on cluster management

Submitted by Alina Danieles… on 18 May 2020

The first online training platform on cluster management will be officially launched on May 25th with a presentation webinar.

Cluster4Smart offers nearly 60 hours of training on four key themes for clusters in the prospect of the industrial transformation 4.0.

The content is presented in the form of video clips supplemented by course materials and fact sheets. Quizzes allow the learner to follow his or her progress.

Cluster4Smart is a project funded by the Erasmus+ program, it brought together seven partners over two years: the French cluster SCS (coordinator) based in Sophia-Antipolis, Amuebla, the Spanish cluster in Murcia, Archenerg Hungarian cluster in Szceged, CEEI de Burgos in Spain, Gnomon cluster management consultancy France, IKOSZ Hungarian cluster association and the University of Strasbourg (Unistra).

The first phase of the project consisted in analysing the training needs of cluster managers through a survey that gathered 150 participants. Based on the results and the typical competence profile of a cluster manager, the partners elaborated a detailed curriculum (phase 2).

Phase 3 consisted of putting the contents into production. Videos were produced as well as augmented computer graphics and animations. An online platform was set up in phase 4.

The last step before commissioning, a test phase enabled 35 cluster managers to validate the proposed contents and methods.
