The Intelligent Cities Challenge

This was an excellent session. Cities are today the real platform for innovation development and social integration and it is crucial in this crisis to face new challenges for the quality of the solutions provided to citizens and organizations. In Portugal we have been developing during the last 20 years many experiences concerning this agenda and the role of governance, cooperation and innovation will be decisive fot the success of these projects.

The Strategy was developed as part of the European Commission’s Digital Cities Challenge initiative. Sofia joined a network of 41 European cities that unite their efforts in facing the 21st century challenges to digital urban development. The strategy could be accessed through the following link.

The City of Sofia is preparing to take part in this year's challenge as well.
