Air Transport was one of the hardest hit sectors by the covid-19 crisis. In 2019, 408 thousand persons aged 20-64 were employed in the air transport sector in the European Union (EU), representing an 11% increase compared with 2018. These workers accounted for 0.2% of total employment in the EU.
