General revision of the European Industrial Ecosystems 17/5

We have already the 14 eco-systems and a task: to identify disruption in the European value chains in the industrial eco-systems and prioritize them.

The idea of creating focus groups for each key area was raised…but which data should we ask for?

Use the clusters to identify the relationships among the different areas?

Each area has different impacts: economic, social, relation with others …. and this should also be considered…

The great added value of clusters is their capacity to identify the relationships among the ecosystems and the impact among them when something is changed. It would be very interesting if clusters could show also the extra impact beyond the economic one…generated jobs, new R&D and innovation investments, public/private investment in new projects,…

Enthusiastic discussion around the way to get data and to process it…but focus on the advantages of this being done by clusters! Clusters can be on time! Are closed to the market, close to users, close to technologies that can be used in near future. There are quite a lot of entities that can do analyses of data! Being on the ground! Green deal, digitalization, resilience, digital sovereignty,...simplicity and focus on the added value of clusters.
