Description

A paper prepared by the European Commission in 2019 for Horizon 2020 cluster-facilitated projects highlighted that innovation and excellence are rarely achieved in isolation.

It concluded that competences are spread across different sectors, value chains and geographical borders. These characteristics call for collaboration between different innovation actors.

Interreg Europe's Policy Learning Platform is organising a webinar on increasing SME competitiveness through cluster cooperation on 19 January (14:00 CET).

The webinar will explore possibilities for cross-sectoral inter-cluster cooperation and will look at practices and experiences that have been identified in this context.

The following items will be featured:

  • Success story from Pays de Loire, France – Inter-cluster cooperation between 6 regional clusters, CLIPPER Project
  • Success story from Latvia – Setting up a Digital Innovation Hub for cross industry cooperation by Aiga Irmeja from the Latvian IT Cluster, SKILLS+ Project
  • Why and how the European Commission is supporting cross-sectoral inter-cluster cooperation by Marek Przeor from the European Commission, DG GROW.
  • Panel discussion on how to stimulate and support inter-cluster cooperation.
