Summary and objectives

Objective 1: Obtaining international visibility and recognition:

To stimulate the development of international activities in the SmartCityTech domain stakeholders have to be convinced on the opportunities in this domain and the added value that the SmartCityTech partnership can offer. This includes increasing awareness with regard to the added value of internationalization, increasing awareness of the added value of SmartCityTech internationalization activities and creating an internationalization vision and strategy.

Objective 2: Provide key information and knowledge on target markets: This goal aims at developing key insights which could be of interest for stakeholders interested in setting up international activities in the 3 target regions. This insight is key to take well informed internationalization decisions about opportunities, priorities, market, partners, strategies, etc.Objective 3: Activate the collaboration among stakeholders from the different regions: The ultimate goal is to have an increase of international partnerships and agreements between international stakeholders in the SmartCityTech domain. This could as well be in a research context, business context as public context.Objective 4: Prepare for sustainability The results and lessons learned of the ESCT Go Global project will be used to update the SmartCityTech internationalization strategy and to prepare of sustainability beyond the ESCT go global project.

1. A joint vision on smart systems for urban areas 

2. A vibrant and global ecosystem of companies, policy makers, academia, investors and citizens ready to engage for joint projects.

3. Development of global innovation capacities which will allow a efiicient development of new smart systems solutions for urban areas

4. Stimulate the active collaboration between stakeholders on concrete projects leading to added value for all ecosystem stakeholders involved

5. Mobilize funding, public or private money driving SmartCityTech projects

6. Go beyond Europe and collaborate on opportunities on other continents
