About us
Water Alliance aims to create a vibrant collaborative environment in the cluster by bringing cluster participants and partners together, promoting entrepreneurship and supporting collaborative R&D projects to develop break through innovation for the societal challenges of the 21st century.

Water Alliance supports Dutch watertechnology SMEs in export, internationalisation and transnational technology cooperation by participating in brockerage events, creating the Holland Innovation & Inspiration Hotspot,organising international business cases.
Furthermore, watertechnology SMEs are invited to use the WaterCampus Innovative Ecosystem to accelerate their product development. The WaterCampus Innovative Ecosystem offers testsides and demosites to develop, test and validate innovative watertechnology solution form field test to pilot plant. WaterCampus partners offer services regarding knowledge, applied and research. Professsionals and students can be connected to the experiments. Next, international enterprises and SMEs are invited to open their Dutch or European office at the WaterCampus Leeuwarden, the physical hotsport for European Water Technology. Water Alliance gives international enterprises and SMEs a soft landing in the European water technology hotspot.
Water Alliance cooperates with other clusterorganisations in The Northern Netherland, the Northern Development Agency and granting institutes. Therefor Water Alliance is able to support SMEs in their questions for funding and grant-instruments. Next to that, The waterCampus Business Challenge is a yearly event where innovative startups are being coached in growing their business; funding is one of the main subjects in this Challenge.
