Cluster IDiA - Asociación Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación en Aragón - is one of 25 clusters that was selected to receive training under the Towards Green Transition Facility.

Discussing the facility, Project Manager Nina Hoppmann explains that the cluster has an ecosystem of 70,000 employees of which 16,000 are ICT professionals. The cluster is very active in Spain and Europe.

To help their members with their green and digital transition, IDiA agreed on different activities that began with the support of the facility and which will continue in the upcoming months.

Ulrika Hurt, a lecturer in sustainable value chains from the Tallinn University of Technology, provided advice to the cluster as their green transition expert. Building strong cooperation, the expert and cluster IDiA explored sustainable and circular solutions.

Concrete activities included:

  • Creating a new sustainability working group
  • Launching a survey to better understand the interests of cluster members

The working group has already met 4 times and has shared experiences and knowledge on carbon footprint and blockchain technologies. They have also worked on a new communication plan to increase the visibility of the IDiA cluster in the field of green technology.

Finally, the cluster created a repository to share sources of financial support and inspirational examples which were supported by the expert advice of the European Clusters Alliance and the ECCP team.
