Sustainable Steel Region
SSR
Overview
About us
The ambition is to be the Regional Innovation Platform focused on the existing world leading strength area Advanced Steels. The purpose is to, based on the transition needs of the regional steel industry, foster new innovations and new companies that will be the base for future growth of connected high-tech businesses.
New solutions will be developed through innovation projects that can be exploited on the global markets by already existing or new companies.
As a result, more companies in the region will gain increased competence and add value to the steel industry. The regional knowledge base is strengthened and by this, more persons with cutting-edge know-how within Advanced Steels can be recruited and dissipate among the companies, thereby spreading and developing their skills even further.
