Kits against Poverty Energy
Solartys is distributing free of cost self-generation power kits to families that have been cut out their power supply. The aim of this initiative is to raise awareness about the legality of the self-generation technologies, mitigate the reluctance of invest in this solutions and increase the impact on the society about the cluster activities, thanks to the support of the media and partners. The complexity of the campaign lies in getting together all the links in the value chain and deal with the legal issues existing in this sector. Moreover, with this activity Solartys seeks to boost the demand of PV technologies and reach the end-users in a segment largely untapped. To finish, Solartys will gain the loyalty of its members by helping them to increase their sales.
Sensitizing campaign about solar energy benefits
Solartys has started a sensitizing campaign addressed to three different targets: industry, end-users and students. The project consists in the elaboration of infographics, video production and providing courses. The challenge of these actions is to reach a public with limited knowledge in the technology and very heterogeneous. The expected results are raise awareness and encourage the penetration in the market of PV technology. Furthermore, this kind of initiative has never carried out before in Solartys and constitutes a new expertise of the cluster and a new tool at the disposal of its members.
Workshop with the Spanish Ministry of Defense
Last November 26th of 2014 Solartys organized a meeting between the members of the cluster and the Ministry of Defense. The aim of the event was to promote the collaboration between Solartys companies and such an important institution.
The complexity on this activity was to catch the attention of the Ministry and to engage it to expose its energy needs, so Solartys’ members could propose their solutions. The impact reached was the demand side understanding and creation of business opportunities. Besides, the cluster members ended up reinforced in networking and business opportunities. Otherwise, Solartys itself offered its members an interesting and innovative tool with a very important potential impact in their businesses and possible only by being part of Solartys.
ELSI Project
The ELSi project consists on the creation of a pv modules recycling plant that will recover more than 95% of the value of the modules. Besides, there will be demonstration visits and participation in workshops, congresses and events.The technology, developed by Fraunhofer, Variata, Geltz and Revatech, will be licensed to other companies interested in the process.
CLUSGRID project
The CLUSGRID project consists on the determination of a new value chain for the Smart Grids sector and the improvement of the services provided by the participant clusters to their members. For these purposes, several workshops will be held and many training activities will take place during the implementation of the project.

Project name
MED-SOLAR project
The Med-Solar project has allowed the cluster to establish a new alliance with countries of MENA region: Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine. Solartys has managed to position itself and by extension its members as leader in technological transfer and open these markets for its members. Furthermore, it has served to achieve one of the main strategic objectives of Solartys: spread the use of renewable technologies worldwide. Finally, the project has signified an important contribution for the financial security of the cluster during the 3 years of duration of the project.
