About us

There have been stipulated 4 main strategic objectives, correlated to the ones form the National Development Strategy of Romania and to the ones from the European Strategy (until 2020):

A. Creating a management structure for the cluster

B. Economic development based on research - development - innovation

C. Industrial policies adapted to the globalization era

D. Promoting an economy with a higher occupational rate of the work force

The strategic lines of the cluster aim to the economic development of its members: the development of the products through added value by implementing innovative ideas both on the level of the products and of the management, creating start-ups and spin-offs, involving the producers in research projects, promoting the products made by the members of the cluster, creating a brand of the cluster, internationalization of the members, uniting the members, training and qualifying the personnel involved in and necessary for the industry by implementing new learning methods, developing new concepts by the cooperation of the traditional artisans with the modern designers. Thus, the management of the cluster has elaborated also a marketing strategy and a communication strategy of the cluster in order to promote the products of its members.

Achievements

- the ellaboration of the cluster brand and of the first collection, called ‘MARAMA’, as a cooperation between the designers and the producers from the cluster;

- participation in a SESEC European project regarding the efficiency increase of the energy consume “Sustainable Energy Saving for the European Clothing Industry”, project which led to the maximisation of the efficiency of energy consumption of the mebmers, and to the reducing of the financial costs by up to 20% of the total energy expenses.

- Participation in the SEE CLOUD Transnational Project "Clusters Orientation towards Up-to-date Technologies and Models for Common Development", included in the EU Transnational Cooperation Programme for South-East Europe, Priority Axis: Facilitating the innovation and entrepreneurship, Area of Intervention: Improving the Framework Conditions and Opening the Road to Innovation – initiated by the Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation Funding – finalised with innovation benchmarking audits and reports for the members of the cluster

- Silver Label of Excellency granted by ESCA
