The TouriSME project is holding an Open Call for tourist accommodation and travel professionals to help them win back their market through sustainable tourism.

Successful candidates for this Open Call will receive training to share and transfer knowledge, matchmaking events for international cooperation and knowledge exchange, as well as tailored mentoring and financial support in obtaining environmental certifications.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on the tourism industry, with many businesses losing customers and slowing down parts of their activity.

This Open Call has been designed with these business in mind, in order to encourage the tourism industry to use less energy and resources, thereby introducing new, sustainable ways of travelling in line with markets, and helping these businesses gain competitiveness.

You can apply to the Open Call if you are a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) from France, Italy, Spain, or Cyprus, and work in the following tourism sectors:

• Hotels and similar accommodation;
• Holiday and other short-stay accommodation;
• Travel agencies, tour operator reservation services, and related activities.
