MiLAB, the national government’s public innovation laboratory works to generate timely responses to an array of public administration challenges, as well as raise awareness about open change and innovation. The lab designs its methodological and operational model, advises the first batch of public entities with prioritised digital transformation challenges, and strengthens the best solutions making use of emerging technologies to be implemented by the government, thus continuing to promote interaction with citizens. This initiative is expected to support Colombia’s GovTech ecosystem, improve the efficiency of public policies and provide modern and timely public services, thanks to promotion of innovative technological-based initiatives. This measure does not directly target clusters but has the potential to facilitate their set-up and development.
