About us
ACCELERATING INNOVATION: MESAP is the Innovation Cluster of Piedmont Region in the fields of Smart Products & Manufacturing with 268 Members, including 222 SMEs, 38Large Companies, 8 Universities and Research Centres. Most of large companies in Mesap are multinational firms, active especially in manufacturing, automotive and aerospace industries. This fact represents the high level of attractiveness of Piedmont business environment, particularly in the innovation field.
MESAP Companies show top level of specialization in integration of ICT, electronics and control science and advanced mechanics and are located in all phases of the supply chain with different levels of integration, including services.
MESAP main goals and activities are knowledge development and transfer from research centres to companies, cross transfer and spread of sectorial competences into new application fields, international cooperation for R&D European/international projects, new end markets identification at European and world level. Its final goal is to strengthen regional industrial capabilities and local supply chains, enhancing their competitiveness all over the world.

Achievements
IoT4Industry project: the iotization of the european SMEs
149 proposals received, 40 funded projects, 82 SMEs, 16 industrial sectors and 18 countries involved. These are some of the numbers of IoT4Industry, a European project that, since 2018, has provided €4 million to support European SMEs in the development of projects for the implementation and testing of IoT technologies in the production cycle.
The project was defined among the 20 best performing Innosup initiatives and awarded as the best “European Cluster Partnership of the Year” during the European Cluster Conference 2020.
Italy is among the most participating countries : among 40 funded projects, 15 included an italian partner and among them, 5 are MESAP members. MESAP has been the National Contact Point for the project as well as managing partner of the Innovation Vouchers and of the communication and dissemination activities.

Name & description
MESAP has a portfolio of 60 collaborative R&D projects about following items: mechatronics for automotive and railways, methods and tools for mechatronics, Production processes automation, eco-efficient products and production processes, nanostructured surface treatments, biomedical mechatronics applications.
These projects were funded by the FESR - POR (Regional Operative Programme) 2007 - 2013.
Other 26 RDI projects are starting in 2018, funded by the FESR - POR (Regional Operative Programme) 2014 - 2020.

BOOST4BSOs Interreg Central Europe (April 2020- March 2022)
Boosting CE Business Support Organizations (BSOs) capacities for I4.0 scale up support (https://www.interreg-central.eu/Content.Node/Boost4BSO.html) is a Interreg CE project aiming at improving knowledge build-up and sustainable knowledge transfer linkages among CE BSOs.
To reach this goal, Boost4BSO capitalizes on training contents/methodologies developed by the core projects InnoPeer AVM and Things+ (both Interreg CE) and the upscaling practice experience of IoT4Industry (H2020), with complementary inputs from further EU/nat. I4.0 related initiatives. Project Partners will jointly develop a comprehensive competence development package for BSOs and support them in creating a toolkit to faciliate SMEs in industrial transformation.

Diffuse the knowledge and the adoption of Smart System to reach the European leadership in this field. MESAP is mainly involved in WP2 - From Education to Markets – Elevating the Smart Systems Industrial Ecosystem in Europe.
