ELCA project will attend on a webinar with the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) organized by European Lightweight Cluster Alliance (ELCA)!

It will take place on May 25, 2021 online, at 14:30-16:30 Indian time (GMT+5.30); 11:00-13:00 (GMT+2).

It will be the first introductory webinar on lightweight technologies for the production of auto parts and components. The webinar will focus on the Indian market, considering the most relevant technological needs and the current policy context, demonstrating a knowledge transfer from leading European experts to India.

The main priorities to be discussed in the webinar are:

  • Sheet metal pressed parts (including sub-assemblies)
  • Plastics and rubber
  • Composites
  • Casting and forging.

For each priority, use cases applicable to SMEs adopting lightweight technologies will be presented and discussed with ELCA experts from academia and industry.

The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) is the apex body representing the interest of the Indian Auto Component Industry. Its membership of over 850 manufacturers contributes to more than 85 per cent of the auto component industry’s turnover in the organised sector. ACMA is an ISO 9001:2015 Certified Association.

ACMA’s charter is to develop a globally competitive Indian Auto Component Industry & strengthen its role in national economic development as also promote business through international alliances.
