HEI.v1

Description

The HEI Initiative: Innovation Capacity Building for Higher Education was launched by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) and is led by EIT RawMaterials, one of the EIT's Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs). It is part of the 2021–2027 EIT Strategy and aims to help higher education institutions to build their capacity to innovate, as well as to teach innovation and entrepreneurship.

A pilot call for proposals was launched on 24 March and will close on 25 May. EIT calls for Higher Education Institutes to create individualised action plans that take a long-term view toward innovation and entrepreneurial capacity.

Webinar

The EIT KICs (a group of large corporations and SMEs, research centres, and higher education institutions) will select up to 23 pilot projects from this pilot call for proposals. Pilot projects will run for a duration of 24 months and be eligible to receive up to 1.2 million EUR per project.

This webinar will consist of two topics:

  • Eligibility, evaluation and administration;
  • Defining your Innovation Vision Action Plan – Orientations for a successful proposal: This will include relevant information on how to best define your project’s vision, as well as how to prepare an effective action plan to achieve the expected institutional change by unlocking the HEI innovation and entrepreneurship potential of a successful consortia.

This information session will present the HEI Initiative and pilot call for proposals in more detail. Participants will have the opportunity to ask the HEI Initiative Team questions.
