Organised in the framework of the ECCP’s Forum of European Cluster Partnerships (FECP), the ECCP is organising its fourth webinar on 25 May at 15:00 CEST. The theme will be Digitalisation and Digital Innovation Hubs.

This webinar aims to demonstrate the benefits and uses of digitalisation and collaboration with digital innovation hubs for the development of the competitive products and services for cluster organisations.

Keynote speaker

The keynote speaker, Kristina Šermukšnytė-Alešiūnienė, will introduce the concept of digitalisation and the digital innovation hubs (DIH) as a key priority in the Digitising European Industry Initiative, and showcase examples of good practice of collaboration between DIHs and cluster organisations.

Speaker background

Kristina Šermukšnytė-Alešiūnienė is AgriFood Lithuania’s Managing Director. The organisation is both a cluster and DIH. In 2020, the European Commission highlighted the AgriFood Lithuania DIH as a good practice example of European sectorial DIHs in the JRC science policy report. In March 2021 AgriFood Lithuania achieved the status of EIT FOOD Hub in Lithuania.

She is also Lithuania Cluster Network Managing Director. The Association includes 57 Lithuanian clusters. Uniting 777 different business enterprises, Lithuanian Clusters Network is the largest organisation of its kind in Lithuania. Kristina is an experienced cluster manager.

She has excellent experience in product development and innovation management, working with research and development and implementation, information technologies and services, and ICT products on a cross-sectoral basis. She is studying a Ph.D. in economics at the Institute of Economics and Rural Development of the Lithuanian Centre for Social Sciences. Her scientific area of interest evaluates the effectiveness of the industries' twin transition digitalisation and the Green Deal in the EU Member States.
