About us
Our main objectives are to study and protect the different regulations concerning the whole hemp plant:
- We aim for a EU more sustainable farming practice
- We aim to study the possibilities of hemp as a carbon sequestration tool
- We aim to study the alternative that hemp can have in other sectors, such as fibres or construction
- We have members from 25 different Member States, we grow bigger each year
Services offered
EIHA opened its office in Brussels in 2019. Since then, EIHA has rapidly grown into a big association with more than 250 members. EIHA is represented by the Secretariat, the Board, the Advisory team and its Scientific Committee formed by 40 European Universities. All the EIHA groups help to shape the strategy of its policy and regulation actions. EIHA is also putting into place the first Consortium of a Novel Food application that is being submitted to the EFSA (EU Commission). We fully fight for all the uses of the whole plant of hemp, ranging from food, agri and carbon sequestration, construction, feed, fibres and supplements, working closely with the EU institutions to achieve so.
