Description

The European Commission, the European Clusters Alliance, EURADA, and the Association of European Border Regions (AEBR) invite you to participate in the workshop "Addressing cross-border and cross-ecosystem investment needs and cooperation opportunities", which will take place online on 11 October 2022, 16:30 - 18:00 CET, in the #EURegionsWeek.

Regions and clusters can act as a good means of capturing investment and collaboration needs, favouring efficiency and innovation in the responses, as they work on cross-border collaboration. The aim of the event is to provide the opportunity to debate, keeping communities connected, exchanging best practices and ideas between partners and participants on four themes: green transition, digital transition, territorial cohesion, and youth empowerment.

The speakers in this workshop are:

  • Jean-Pierre Halkin, Head of Unit, DG REGIO.D.2 ‘Interreg, Cross-Border Cooperation, Internal Borders’, European Commission
  • Roberta Dall’Olio, President of EURADA (European Association of Development Agencies)
  • Joris Bengevoord, Mayor of Winterswijk, Association of European Border Regions (AEBR)
  • Antonio Novo, President of European Clusters Alliance

This event is part of the European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek), which is the biggest annual Brussels-based event dedicated to cohesion policy. It has grown to become a unique communication and networking platform, bringing together regions and cities from all over Europe, including politicians, administrators, experts, and academics. Over the last 19 years, it has done much to promote policy learning and the exchange of good practice.
