With the EU and Japan accelerating efforts to decarbonize the economy, the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation is organising a one-year cycle of free online events bringing together experts, business leaders and stakeholders to share ideas on the topic of hydrogen.   

The next workshop is on 9 September at 9 am CET. The main topic will be hydrogen in transport, industry and power generation. The event will be in English and Japanese with simultaneous interpretation.    Speakers will include representatives from the European Commission, the Ministry of Economy, Trade & Industry of Japan, Mitsubishi Power, ThyssenKrupp, Toyota Motor, H3Dynamics, CMB, Panasonic, Hydrogen Europe and the Japan Hydrogen Association.  

The event will be split into 2 sessions: 

  • Session 1: Projects of hydrogen use in transport, industry and power generation in the EU and Japan 

  • Session 2: Potential for EU-Japan cooperation in hydrogen use in transport, industry and power generation 

The event will be moderated by Professor Kazunari Sasaki, Senior Vice President of Kyushu University, Director of the International Research Center for Hydrogen Energy and Next-Generation Fuel Cell Research Center.
