Description

The REPowerEU plan sets out a series of measures to rapidly reduce dependence on Russian fossil fuels and fast forward the green transition, while increasing the resilience of the EU-wide energy system. Renewables are the cheapest and cleanest energy available, and can be generated domestically, reducing our need for energy imports. Technology uptake is an important factor to accelerate the transition to renewable energies.

In this context, the European Cluster Collaboration Platform, on behalf of the European Commission, DG GROW, organised the EU Clusters Talk “Renewable Energies: How to accelerate technology uptake?” on 9 November 2022, 8:30 – 9:30 CET, to discuss challenges and opportunities for the uptake of transformational technologies in the different renewable energy sectors. These technologies can relate to wind power, photovoltaics, electricity grids, geothermal energy, and other energy sources and equipment. The objective of this Talk is to understand what is needed to accelerate the implementation of the REPowerEU plan and how clusters can support the transition.

This event is part of bi-weekly online meetings brought to the cluster community by the European Cluster Collaboration Platform. They offer up-to-date insights into the latest industrial policies and clusters’ involvement, projects, and best practices, the latest ECCP news, and funding opportunities. The EU Clusters Talks are a space to exchange knowledge and to discuss cluster-relevant topics, which will change with every meeting.
