The European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP) and FCAN are organising a webinar on the funding and organisation of meta-clusters, as well as an introduction to the online Discussion Forum. The webinar will take place on Wednesday 24 March at 15:00 CET.
The webinar will consist of two parts. The first part aims to introduce and discuss the need for Cluster Associations and Networks and examples of funding. The second part is dedicated introducing the online Discussion Forum for Cluster Associations and Networks.
After the welcome introduction by the ECCP team and representatives of the European Commission, guest speaker Daniel Alexandru Cosnita will deliver a keynote on how Cluster Associations and Networks can achieve financial sustainability.
About Keynote speaker
Daniel Alexandru Cosnita graduated both as an engineer and an economist, and has been working in the fields of technology transfer and innovation, regional economic development and clusters for the last 15 years.
Since 2008, Daniel has been supporting the Romanian Ministry for Economy in national cluster policy by performing cluster mapping at national level and contributing to the elaboration of the Guide for Applicants for financing schemes.
Currently, he is acting as an expert for the Romanian Ministry of Economy on the elaboration of the new competitiveness strategy document, and for the Romanian Ministry for European Funds on the development of new structural funds programming for 2021–2027. Daniel was a consultant for the Algerian government on setting up a national network of business incubators, for the Turkish government on the elaboration of the national cluster strategy, and for the Armenian government on the elaboration of the innovation strategy.
Since 2011, he has been the president of the Romanian Cluster Association. He has also been a member of the Export Council of Romania since 2011 and of the National Council for Technology Transfer and Innovation since 2016. He is an ESCA Gold and Silver label expert and a member of the Research and Innovation and Cluster Working Groups of the Enterprise Europe Network.
