Description

The adoption of the IoT and the number of connected devices in all kinds of environments is rapidly increasing every year, reducing costs and enabling new services. However, with the increase in the number of connected devices, new cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities arise, putting in danger not only IoT devices, but the whole network they are deployed into. The characteristics of IoT devices make them particularly vulnerable to external attacks and therefore these must be tackled in order to protect our networks. In this webinar we will explore the impact of cybersecurity in IoT, analyze how hackers attack IoT networks, and provide modern mechanisms to keep the IoT secure. Speakers: Marc Barcelo is a Research Engineer from IKERLAN since 2016, where he has been focused on improving the security and reliability of IoT architectures. In 2019 he joined the cybersecurity for digital platforms team, where he is currently leading the team research in IoT cybersecurity. Odei Olalde is a Research Engineer from IKERLAN with more than 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, focused on hacking and security monitoring. In 2020 he joined the Cybersecurity for digital platforms team where he acts like security researcher on IoT and Industrial devices. Register now!
