Overview
About us
CTA is a public-private partnership made up of more than 165 companies to promote innovation and technology transfer. Despite the tendency to associate innovation with sectors which make intensive use of technology (such as ITC and Biotechnology), CTA believes that it is also important to incorporate R&D into traditional sectors, such as agri-food, which play a key role in the Andalusian economy.
It is crucial to adopt new models of production based on knowledge and differentiation so that they can all play their part in increasing the competitiveness of the regional economy.
Due to its longstanding experience in the agricultural sector, Andalusia is well placed to be an international leader in various aspects of agri-food innovation, in terms of both cultivation techniques and the final product.

- CTA technical officers are evaluators in European projects calls for proposals (H2020, FP7, SME Instrument).
- CTA is a strategic advisor in innovation programs of the Administration.
- CTA provides technical support to innovation funding programs and technological entrepreneurship.
- Experience in the development of technology transfer through the mobilization of patents in collaboration with Andalusian public universities.
- International Success Cases Manual of University-Business Cooperation (REUNE).
- CTA works as PUNTO RED PIDI (National Network of Information Points on Research, Development and Innovation Activities, managed by CDTI). Currently, it is the International Node of the PIDI Network, in addition to being a proximity node since 2008.
- Expert foundation in the writing and edition of reports and publications on innovation at regional and national level.
- Preparation of feasibility studies in areas such as neuroscience, big data and cloud computing, tourist recommendation services and bioeconomy.
- Stable collaboration agreements with regional and national economic agents.

Further information
- CTA helps businesses, universities, technology centres, public authorities and other bodies to achieve the maximum results from their R&D initiatives and transform the results into wealth creation and concrete business activities.
- The services provided by CTA include: strategic R&D advice; evaluation of innovative initiatives; support for the internationalisation of R&D; consultancy in processes involving Procurement of Innovation by Public Bodies; support for technology scouting and studies and reports concerning ad hoc innovation.
