Consultation to support the Green and Digital Transitions

Submitted by Imogen Allan on 02 December 2021

In light of new European priorities such as the European Green Deal and Industrial and Digital Strategies, the European Commission has published a consultation on a draft proposal for the green and digital transition.

The revision of the General Block Exemption Regulation (GBER) aims to promote public funding which contributes to the achievement of current EU priorities. It should reflect the changes to various sets of State aid Guidelines, which are currently being reviewed to facilitate public support for the EU's green and digital transition.

The new rules will help set the foundations for a sustainable economy at a time of recovery from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

All European citizens and organisations are welcome to respond to this consultation which is open until 8 December 2021.
