Competence Centres Programme

“Competence Centres” and “Technology Transfer Contact Points” have been implemented by Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFLA;Centrālā finanšu un līgumu aģentūra) in order to promote the cooperation between science and business programmes. Estimated budget expenditure range per year is between EUR 5 million-20 million. The aim of the programme is to increase the competitiveness of businesses and by facilitating cooperation of research and industrial sectors in the implementation of industrial research, new product and technology development. The beneficiaries are higher education institutes, SMEs, clusters, and entrepreneurs.
