Cluster Excellence Denmark is a strategic and operational sparring and collaboration partner for clusters, authorities and the innovation and business promotion system at home and abroad. CED is co-financed by the Danish Agency for Education and Research and the Danish Business Authority. Since 2014, CED has supported Danish cluster organisations to build a strong Danish and international profile. The goal is to ensure a well-functioning and strong cluster landscape in close collaboration with the rest of the business and innovation promotion system in Danmark and abroad. Also, CED helps developing good practice recommendations for cluster managers and practical tools for working with triple helix projects. Through their activities, CED promotes professionalisation and competence development of the cluster secretariats. CED's primary target group is the 14 cluster organisations that have been appointed to handle the national cluster efforts 2021-2024. CED solves their tasks in close dialogue with the cluster organisations, in order to ensure that their activities are in line with the real and current needs of the clusters. Budget is EUR 0.7 million per year.
