About us

The cd2e is the expert centre fostering new environmental technologies through eco-enterprises support. We are a team of environmental and business experts dedicated to supporting the environmental sector in Northern France and abroad.

We bring together environmental and business expertise in a “one stop shop” for environmental projects.

We work in partnership with regional development organisations, business support structures, industry peak bodies and international peers.

Creation: Helping organisations to create innovative eco-solutions.

Innovation: Supporting the emergence of eco-innovation

Development: Making eco-enterprises more competitive through targeted actions and tools such as business intelligence.

International: Developing international partnerships, from foreign companies wanting to do business in Northern France to the coordination of European projects.

Promotion: Promoting eco-technology expertise in France and abroad.

We have around 150 members, and work closely with 50 research labs in northern France / Lille Region.

The cd2e co-organises two major events each year:

  • In June, Environord trade fair and the Congress of Ecotechnologies for the Future gather major actors from the environment from Nothern France and beyond (companies, academics, institutions) to present their latest innovations, get informed about new technologies and materials, have the chance get valuable insights of other professionals
  • In November, the LCA congress helps to connect research and practice on the topic of Life Cycle Assessment. Major companies (Renault, Airbus) as well as SMEs share and improve their knowledges and practice of LCA with other professionals and academics. In 2015, cd2e - [avniR] co-organised in Bordeaux with the CIRAIG and ISM-CyVi LCM 2015, the 7th International Conference on Life Cycle Management.

Name & description

  • Thanks to a regional policy aiming to develop international economic cooperation, the cd2e benefits of two permanent offices in Rio de Janeiro (Brasil) and Warsaw (Poland). Their aim is to help create commercial, technological and institutional projects between France and the two countries.
  • LCIP (Life +): implementation of LCA thinking in SMEs.
  • CEAMaS (Interreg IVB – NEW) : innovative solutions for the re-use of dredged sediments
  • Product Environmental Footprint : help the EC to shape new indicators on environmental footprint of insulation materials
