Summary and objectives
BIGINN marks a new beginning for business and Big Science Innovation. The consortium partners BigScience.dk (Denmark), INEUSTAR (Spain) and LITEK™ (Lithuania) have joined forces for the ClusterXchange programme to mobilize clusters in order to exploit the potential of innovation and international cooperation from the Big Science market by tapping into the huge investments into state-of-the-art technology in this field.
BIGINN addresses specific challenges of the topic:
- Strengthen and professionalise the cluster management skills in the new area of Big Science clusters
- Employ cluster mobility schemes to implement cross-fertilization of innovation opportunities at the different clusters
- Improve SME global competitiveness by establishing international relations and collaborations
Results expected
- Identified gaps and potential in the Big science-markets with a focus on cross-sector opportunities and competitiveness;
- Identified the potential cluster services which can assist to cover gaps in the market;
- Upgraded cluster management competencies in order to implement selected services and strengthen SME support;
- Successfully accomplished ClusterXchange mobility scheme, established links between business and Big Science
