Clusters play an important role in industrial transformations as they can renew business models and reconfigure industrial value chains.
In this context, the Advanced Technologies for Industry (ATI) project is organising a webinar on 10 June at 10am CEST on monitoring the role of clusters in advanced technologies.
Context
The way technology is produced and diffused across different countries and regions tends to be uneven. Economic geography largely determines the probability of knowledge spillovers and is key to shaping the potential for technology development and uptake, but also industrial transformation.
In this context, the willingness of firms to inform others about their knowledge depends upon the trust established between actors.
This event has two objectives:
- To explore the role of cluster policy in accelerating technology diffusion in times of COVID and their current role in the strategic autonomy
- To discuss the role of cluster organisations in providing specific support to companies on the ground and foster technology uptake.
