Pôle SCS, one of EXCITE's project partners, organised three days of visits and networking in the Baden-Württemberg Automotive ecosystem and supported four of their SME members

From 29 November to 1 December 2022, SCS's cluster partner, the German e-mobil cluster BW Electromobility South West, gave a warm welcome and a rich programme to their members Benomad, Epicnpoc, Genow and Moabi. It was an opportunity for them to discover the actors of the local ecosystem, the assets and entry points of the German automotive market, and the research and innovation infrastructures in this sector.  

A rich program around the automotive industry 

DAY 1 – Stuttgart, Automotive Ecosystem of Baden-Württemberg 

• Presentation of the automotive ecosystem in Baden-Württemberg by e-mobile BW GmbH & Baden-Württemberg International
• Impressive tour of Arena2036
• Visit and discovery of simulation services and high-performance computing from SICOS BW GmbH
• Visit to the FKFS (Research Institute for Automotive and Engine Engineering in Stuttgart) 

 DAY 2 – Esslingen, Automotive Suppliers’ Day 

• Automotive Suppliers’ Day conference organised by Baden-Württemberg with the Minister of Economic Affairs. 
• Exhibition and networking on the showroom of the event 

DAY 3 – Karlsruhe, Research and innovation connected vehicle  

Visit and discovery of research and innovation activities smart vehicle and mobility: 

• KIT Campus Ost (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology) 
• FZI Forschungszentrum Informatik- House of Living Labs (Computing Research Center)
