TEXGLOBAL SOWING WORKSHOPS: KEY ACTIVITES TO ENGAGE SMEs IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MISSIONS

Submitted by Enrico Venturini on 31 March 2023

The main objective TEXGLOBAL is to implement a joint internationalization strategy by mobilizing various international business collaborations.
Briefly, the strategy aims to exploit the many possibilities offered by textile-based solutions, both for apparel and technical markets, with high content in terms of product innovation, for various end applications in different sectors.
The ultimate goal of the strategy is to define and finalize cooperation and business agreements between European textile SMEs and key players in foreign target markets (industries, clusters, R&D centers, scale-up organizations in general), generating cooperative projects in different business areas.
This paper, related to Task 4.2 of TEXGLOBAL (Organization of Sowing Workshop to coach participating companies) describes the workshops organized for textile SMEs in the consortium who wish to internationalize, particularly in TEXGLOBAL three target countries
(Mexico, Vietnam, and the USA). These events are coaching sessions dedicated to SMEs to sow the seeds of possible international opportunities and collaborations that will grow during the missions in the three target countries (through study visits, matchmaking and collateral activities abroad), to maximize the impact of the missions. Outreach and support events have included in
particular internationalization missions and financing opportunities.
