From November 7th to 9th, 2022, in the framework of the first REMOBILISE cluster mission, the consortium partner NextMove welcomed a delegation of European clusters to the Île-de-France region to discover the local ecosystem around urban mobility. Representatives of the mobility sector from 13 European countries were able to meet with members of the NextMove network, including start-ups and SMEs, as well as research centers and major groups. Several activities were organized, including pitch sessions, site visits and working groups.

During the first day, the whole delegation had the opportunity to attend high-level interventions from members and partners of the cluster: The program included speeches by Stephen Marvin, Director of R&D at PFA, and Jochen Langheim, NextMove’s International Vice President and STMicroelectronics representative, followed by an introduction by Isabelle Pottier of the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry concerning the Enterprise Europe Network, and concluded with speeches by the two clusters partners Cap Digital and Systematic Paris Region, as well as a presentation by NextMove‘s Managing Director on our strategy and services for members.

The afternoon was then dedicated to a pitch session, to allow European participants to meet start-ups and SMEs of the NextMove network and discover the solutions and initiatives developed by these entities. The day ended with a networking afterwork where the whole group could exchange and identify future collaboration opportunities.

The second day was dedicated to the discovery of NextMove members’ sites: particularly interesting site visits hosted by FEV Group (Trappes), the VEDECOM Institute (Versailles) and a meeting with the startup EP Tender. Enriching exchanges and important collaboration potentials, all fed by the curiosity and the desire to share the experiences of the various participating organizations.

The program concluded with the third and final day which allowed the 19 participating cluster organisations to benefit from a training session organized by the REMOBILISE project around two key topics: financing of innovation and support for the internationalization of members of our ecosystems. Following two presentations respectively by NextMove’s Head of European Affairs and representatives from Business France, participants were able to exchange in sub-groups and identify synergies to facilitate the support of our members.

Similar opportunities will be offered by the REMOBILISE project for European clusters and their members throughout the whole project life, so don’t hesitate to check out our website and subscribe to our newsletter!
