SmartCityTech is included as a collaborative partner of another European Project, Robot Union. It consists on a European Robotics Acceleration Program which will finance 20 start ups in order to boost the robotics sector.

Start-ups working on other vertical sectors will be prioritized:

-          Agrifood

-          Healthcare

-          Civil Engineering

-          Manufacturing

-          Open Disruptive Innovation  

 RobotUnion is an ecosystem that involves SMEs and startups together with corporate companies, researchers, acceleration programs and investors. The aim is “to create the best conditions for long-term business success for all involved”. The objectives are to:

-          Empower innovation and entrepreneurship in robotics

-          Impact on the newly established robotics industry

-          Connect to the robotics ecosystem.  

20 Start-ups will receive 3.800€ in cash equity free and services in a first phase. Then, the best 10 cases will be in the product acceleration program and will receive 120.000€ in cash equity free. Finally the best 4 startups, will receive up to 100.000€. Therefore, they will receive up to 223.000€ equity free in cash plus services.
