Submitted by Alessia Menduni on 06 December 2019

On 27th and 28th November Mesap hosted in Turin the Silicon Europe Alliance Cluster Forum 2019, the annual event that brings together all the clusters of the Silicon Europe Alliance for two intense days of work, coordination and planning of future collaboration activities.

The first day of the forum was dedicated to the study visits at 2 of the companies associated to Mesap.

Study visit 1 at Inpeco S.p.A.

The Inpeco group is a multinational company active for 25 years in the field of automation for clinical analysis laboratories, where it manufactures robots for the handling and intelligent management of biological samples. The philosophy that supports the Group's operations is the possibility of limiting human error in the healthcare sector through the automation of operating processes that would otherwise be carried out manually and the tracking of each individual step, from sample collection to its report.

Study visit 2 at Prima Industrie S.p.A.

Prima Industrie leads a leading Group in the development, production and marketing of laser systems for industrial applications and machines for sheet metal working, as well as industrial electronics and laser sources. With almost 40 years of experience, the Group boasts about 12,000 machines installed in more than 80 countries and is one of the world's leading manufacturers in its reference market. The Group has production facilities in Italy, Finland, China and the USA as well as a commercial and after-sales presence throughout the world.

Participants in the forum, along with Mesap, Pole SCS, Silicon Alps, DSP Valley, High Tech NL, Minalogic, Silicon Saxony and. V., Gaia Technologies Organization and Grenoble Alpes Métropole.

From the meeting emerged the willingness to renew the alliance and to continue together the path of collaboration, strengthening the involvement of the clusters and the impact of activities with concrete impacts on cluster members. We thank all partners for their participation.

See you all in France for the next Silicon Europe Alliance Cluster Forum, #SEACF2020.
