S3martMed WEBINAR: 3D printing of Medical Device, Innovative projects across Europe

Submitted by Alberto Baldi on 13 May 2019

Webinar – “3D printing of medical devices: Innovative projects across Europe”

Join our webinar on 3D printing in medical technology on May 23th 2019, 11.00 – 12.15.

Artificial organs from human tissue - as recently shown for skin and heart - and precisely fitting implants as well as exactly reproduced body models from the 3D printer are becoming an indispensable part in medical technology. The advantages of additive manufacturing are obvious: resource-conserving, miniaturized and cost-effective, they are far superior to conventional manufacturing processes.

As part of the S3martMed project, the second webinar aims to inform medical technology SMEs and research centers about the state-of-the-art in additive manufacturing and to highlight the application possibilities in medical technology.

3 speakers from the S3martMed regions will share their expertise during the webinar: Dr. Kirsten Borchers from Fraunhofer IGB (Stuttgart, Germany), Dr. Christophe Marquette from the 3d.FAB platform (Lyon, France) and Mateusz Pawlik, CEO, from Cabiomede (Kielce, Poland).
