PIMAP+ first international mission and roadmap 2022

PIMAP+ consortium and several members of the six clusters have participated to Photonics West 2022 from 25th to 27th January in San Francisco, US. The first exhibition held in presential since 2020 enabled the companies to finally meet with their current customers and partners, but also, to get new qualified contacts. 950 companies were in total exhibiting, and 2 905 participants attended this edition. Two of the partners, ALPHA-RLH and Photonics Finland, also had a booth to support their companies and create connections with other European and international partners. Half of the partners met there to discuss and organise the next international business missions.
In total, the SMEs directly financially supported by the consortium have reported the following impact:
- 54 Relevant contacts
- 14 Potential new customers
- 13 Potential new partners
- 11 Potentital contracts to be signed after the event
- 22 Meetings planned after the event

Covid-19 impact in various countries has forced the consortium to modify the roadmap defined at the beginning of the project, and amended several times since then, following the restrictions.

Today, PIMAP+ offers 3 opportunities of business travels: Aerospace & Photonics Business mission in Montreal - Canada 6th to 8th April 2022, AISTech Iron and Steel exhibition in Pittsburgh - US 16th to 19th May 2022, and Manufacturing Technology Show Montreal - Canada 14th to 16th June 2022. For each mission, the partners offer a comprehensive package with B2B, networking and local partners meetings. A funding envelope is also available to support the SMEs travel expenses.
