20 organisations, representing innovation clusters, innovation agencies, accelerators and incubators, as well as representative of the primary sector, are now part of BioeconomyVentures’ Ambassadors Programme. Paper Province has been selected ambassador for Sweden and will host two pitching and networking events during 2022.

BioeconomyVentures is a platform for bioeconomy-based start-ups and spinoffs, aiming to become the future lighthouse in the European bioeconomy ecosystem.

Paper Province has been selected as one of 20 ambassadors and are now ready contribute by spreading knowledge about the network, and acting as one of the contact points among the players of the European bioeconomy sectors.

Paper Province is the only actor in the Nordic countries and will represent mainly Sweden, but also has potential to involve neighbouring contries in the upcoming events.

70 candidates became 20

The scouting process has lasted six months, promoted through a dedicated expression of interest, during which more than 70 candidates were evaluated for their potential to joining the programme.

The final 20 Ambassadors have been selected based on four macro evaluation criteria: 1) Creation of a significant ecosystem; 2) Experience in assisting collaborations/partnerships; 3) Geographical scope of action; 4) Promotional channels.

Now everything is ready to move to the next step, where the selected ambassadors will each organise at least two pitching and networking events in their regions – the so called ‘Explore & Expand workshops. The main goal being to boost the European entrepreneurship at a local level by connecting start-ups and investors to generate deals and getting them on board on the BioeconomyVentures platform.
