Packaging Cluster signs a bilateral agreement with Korea Packaging Association

The agreement was started by the visit of the V Strategic Training Week organized by ACCIÓ last May, where 14 clusters Catalan explore business opportunities with Korean companies and organizations.

Following the visit of different Catalan clusters in an advanced country like South Korea, executives of the respective business entities, considered closer ties between Korean and Catalan industrial packaging environments.

This own thing will materialize through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by the presidents of both entities, Mr. Dong Ho Shin by Kopa and Mr. Artur Costa by the Cluster of Packaging.

The MOU will allow the promotion of five specific areas by members of both entities. On the one hand, it will work to share market intelligence, with the exchange of information on the market situation, trends and opportunities in their respective markets; networking, with the possibility of visiting with a delegation of other market industries to seek new opportunities;talent, exchanging technical information, with the ability to collaborate with engineers from each environment.

On the other hand, business entities act as catalysts of the territory, helping to facilitatelanding, with the acquisition of new companies that are interested in collaborating globally and in terms of attracting foreign investment, coordination with public entities as Catalonia Trade & Investment, and advising and assisting at all times to potential investors.

The agreement comes through the demand of the industrial fabric of the country, which claims to be interconnected with advanced territories. In this regard, the President of the Cluster of Packaging, Mr. Artur Costa, saids: “The Catalans clusters are a very powerful tool to export the territory in the world and position it in areas such as innovation and technology and yet we can strengthen the internationalization of the cluster’s companies. “

Kopa (Korea Packaging Association), founded in 1991, has 92 members representing the entire value chain and promotes the development of R & D around the packaging industry and packaging, as well as the internationalization of its members alliances strategic partners of international reference.
