The Packaging Cluster celebrates the day of internationalization

On April 18, the conference “How to become an international company?” organized by the Packaging Cluster, with the collaboration of ACCIÓ and the participation of the associated members of the cluster.

The aim of the conference, held at the entity's offices in the Can Roqueta Business Center, Sabadell and, which included the participation of different companies from the entity, Quimovil, Difmaq-Roure, Innovapack, Chemence Graphics, among others, was learn about the connection of partner companies with other customer profiles, and discover the resources available to them to open doors in different countries. “The cluster acts as a link between the associated companies and reference actors. With the contacts and the valuation of the entity, different Commercial Missions are carried out taking advantage of sectorial reference fairs”, stated Pol Marin, Project Manager of the Packaging Cluster. The session was opened by Cristina Cajal Viadé, Senior International Business Consultant for the Industrial Systems Sector and Encarni Avilés Arroyo, Cluster Teams Capacity Building Team Leader in the Business Strategy Unit of ACCIO to present international business opportunities in the container and packaging sector as well as the global map of business opportunities in more than 110 countries and the different tools and services that companies have at their disposal. The session continued with the presentation of the international project Global Foodture, which aims at the sustainable transition of the food system worldwide through collaboration and innovation by Tjerna Ellenbroek, Project Manager Foodvalley NL. Pol Marin RuzProject Manager of the Packaging Cluster explained how the cluster can help companies to travel strategically and presented the Interpack fair that will be held from May 4 to 10 in the German city of Düsseldorf. The session closed with the presentation of different partners of the Packaging Cluster who explained the good practices through international experience and held a workshop to detect the main needs and challenges. Albert Ferrari, General Manager of Difmaq Roure, Guillem Vilanova, Project Manager at Innovapack, Dolores Morales Orellana, Sales Manager at Quimovil and José Ruiz Pérez, General Manager at Chemence Graphics, highlighted the importance of opening new markets on different continents since helps companies expand their reach, diversify their risks, take advantage of unique opportunities, access new resources, and learn about new cultures and markets. The Packaging Cluster offers all partners and collaborators to make use of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), a tool promoted by the European Commission, through the Directorate General for Business and Industry.
