Open Call for health sector SMEs tackling challenges in medical diagnostics

DIGI-B-CUBE project (https://digibcube.eu/) funded under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme, aims to unlock the cross-sectoral collaborative potential of SMEs by combining novel digital technologies with the Bioimaging-Biosensing-Biobanking industries. The project will support development and delivery of new market sensitive disruptive technologies and key digital innovations to reconfigure patient-centred diagnostics towards a Heath Economy 4.0.

DIGI-B-CUBE is set to launch its Open Call in April. The call will commence reception of voucher applications with the objective of extending innovation support to the health sector SMEs tackling challenges in medical diagnostics. In addition to the already available Travel Voucher, the SMEs will now have access to three new vouchers.

Prototyping Voucher (Funding up to €20,000 per SME)

Prototyping voucher facilitates funding to conceptualize and validate a solution to a digitalization challenge in the medical diagnostics value chain. One SME from the health sector must partner with one SME from the IT sector. 1st Deadline for applications is 29th July 2020.

Customised Solution Innovation Voucher (Funding up to €50,000 per SME)

Customised Solution Innovation voucher facilitates funding to further develop an existing concept to tackle challenges in the medical diagnostics value chain with two partners from other sectors (IT, health or hybrid). 1st Deadline for applications is 29th July 2020.

Co-working Disruption Lab Voucher (Funding up to €10,000 per SME)

Co-working Disruption Lab voucher facilitates additional funding if you have successfully completed the Customised Solution Innovation Voucher project and are ready to take your results to the next level. Applications can be submitted up to one month after completion of the Innovation Voucher project. It is important to mention that in total an SME is subject to a maximum of €60,000 in funding.

Note: The Travel Voucher is already available since September 2019. Through the travel voucher, SMEs get reimbursed up to €6,000 for their travel costs (transportation, accommodation and event fees) incurred for attending DIGI-B-CUBE events.
