A session of bilateral meetings between technical service providers and factories was organised in Cluj Napoca by Transilvania IT Cluster, the national partner of DIH², a project aiming to facilitate the connections that will enable agile production in factories where speed and versatility are essential to satisfy customer demand.

Reuniting over 50 participants from all across România - Cluj - Napoca, Iași, București, Timișoara, Baia Mare, Oradea, Prahova - the meeting aimed to introduce registered entities into the next steps of the project - giving information, clarifications and recommendations into project writing for the established consortia.

Projects’ submission is due February 27th, consortia are competing for up to € 248,000 equity-free funding. The companies will receive assistance from Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub experts, in order to complete the subsequent stages of the project.

Romania ranked first among the 26 partners of the largest European Digital Innovation Hubs Network focused on robotics, exceeding the goals set with 230% for the IT companies and 210% for factories. The Romanian technology suppliers and factories have exceeded expectations regarding the interest in the support offered by the network.

DIH², a Horizon 2020, believes in the power of robotics to transform the agility of manufacturing in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and drive economic growth across the European Union.
