“Today’s problems and future challenges of maritime law” conference was held on April 21, 2022. The conference was organized by the Department of Maritime Law of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk and the European Law Students Association ELSA Gdańsk. The Panel of Young Lawyers Scientists took place the day before.
The 10th Polish National Maritime Law Conference deals with important topics that are important for modern maritime law and its development. The role of international maritime law is more important than ever today. There were three discussion panels during the Conference. Issues related to the most important legal and practical as well as social and economic problems were discussed.

“Sea Shipping in the Network” – the horizon of changes in the global maritime sector were discussed in Panel I. Contemporary problems of maritime law were presented in Panel II. Future challenges of maritime law were presented in Panel III.

The following topics were discussed: directions of development and legislative paradigms, contemporary problems of shipping and logistics and the monopolization of shipping, the war in Ukraine – challenges and conclusions for maritime transport and critical infrastructure. The issues of green governance, maritime safety, insurance and cybersecurity were discussed.
The 4th International Seminar “Roman Maritime Law” was held on April 20, 2022.
