Marine South East's CEO Jonathan Williams recently visited South Africa, one of the SpaceWave target countries, in order to find local potential partners with whom to build a footprint in the Southern African continent of parties who might use satellite applications to manage their fisheries and aquaculture ventures.

A number of very good meetings were held with local companies including; ABAGOLD who cultivate Abalone, the world's most desirable seafood at the southernmost tip of Africa. This company may be interested in using SpaceWave technologies to monitor algae blooms and for security purposes.

OLRAC, a group of companies involved in fisheries management who work across both Southern and Eastern Africa, was also visited.

Jonathan Williams also met with the Western Cape Maritime Cluster which is a new organisation that aims to strengthen and develop the maritime industrial sector.
