UNIMOS Foundation and onTech Innovation organized a first group cross-border exchange within the AURORA project. The AURORA cross-industry business mission took place between 7-10 November 2022 in Valencia, Spain and was organized for three Polish SMEs representing agri-food, health and HoReCa/tourism sectors.

The mission had a cross-industry character with an engaging agenda full of diverse activities. During the two first days, Polish companies participated in the 5th Connected Industry Congress – national congress organised by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism that gathered Spanish technological and clusters ecosystems with parallel scenes, tables and 190 speakers in the field of Industry 4.0, clusters, technologies and public policies. Polish entrepreneurs had a chance to meet in-person with onTech Innovation cluster and learn about R&D and innovation projects implemented in Spain. They also participated in several sessions related to clusters, photonics, policy instruments and innovation ecosystems delivered by EU high-level speakers and got immersed into new technologies, such as photonics and virtual reality applied for skills development and formation.

Thanks to networking sessions, they had the chance to establish valuable contacts with Spanish stakeholders for future collaboration projects. The following days were focused on Food, Health & HoReCa benchmarking and market exploration. Polish organisations visited different agri-food and HoReCa distribution channels to learn about new food products, its branding and sales channels. They visited Mercado Central, El Corte Ingles, Mercadona, among others, and they had a chance to learn on an immersion basis about Spanish products and innovations.

All participants found the exchange valuable, inspiring and expressed their willingness to participate in further AURORA activities, such as upcoming AURORA Roadshow Poland that will take place in Warsaw, 6-8 December 2022.
