KICKOFF MEETING OF THE PROJECT "INNHOSPITAL”

Last Wednesday, 10th of July, the Kickoff meeting of the project "INNHOSPITAL: TOWARDS A NEW HOSPITAL MODEL BASED ON INNOVATION AND THE TRANSFER OF KNOWLEDGE" took place. The meeting of the 8 members of the consortium responsible for executing the project was carried out in the Regional Health Management of Castilla y León, headquarters of the Innovation Support Unit "Sacylinnova", coordinator of the project.

The meeting was used for the members of the consortium to get to know each other and to take a walk to the activities that have been marked so that the hospitals are recognized and used as places where a great amount of knowledge is generated (scientific and assistance), which The search has positioned itself as generators of economic return to society.

The other members of the INNHOSPITAL consortium are, apart from Sacylinnova and Biotecyl:

- Foundation for Training and Research of Health Professionals in Extremadura (Fundesalud-Ministry of Health and Social Policies)

- Sociosanitario Cluster of Extremadura.

- Centro Hospitalar y Universitário de Coimbra, EPE.

- University of Aveiro.

- Asociaçao Portuguesa de Administradores Hospitalares (APAH).

- Pedro Nunes Institute

- Associação e Desenvolvimiento em Ciência e Tecnologia.

The first activities carried out in hospitals, both in Castilla y León, Extremadura and Portugal, are part of the promotion of a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in hospitals, methodologies of innovation management, health and the service. public-private collaboration networks, so necessary to obtain the knowledge generated in hospitals to reach a market and, therefore, return to society.

The objectives and the expected results in the INNHOSPITAL project are considered of great interest for Castilla y León and other POCTEP regions, due to the great opportunity for economic growth that exists from the knowledge generated by our hospital centers.
