Upper Austria is once again looking for the best timber and hybrid buildings. The submission deadline for the Upper Austrian Timber Construction Award 2022 starts on November 8. www.holzbaupreis-ooe.at is the place for planners, building contractors and timber construction companies to upload their projects and take part in the race for the coveted prize. Submissions are possible until January 16, 2022.

Prizes will be awarded for timber and timber hybrid buildings in the categories of residential buildings, commercial buildings, agricultural buildings, public buildings as well as conversions, extensions and renovations. The special category "Out of the country" is also included again - projects realized by Upper Austrian timber construction companies outside Upper Austria can be submitted here.

Impulses for timber construction
Initiators and organizers of the OÖ Holzbaupreis 2022 are the furniture and timber construction cluster of the oö. location agency Business Upper Austria, proHolz OÖ, the regional guild timber construction OÖ and the professional representation of the wood industry OÖ. "We want to point with the Auslobung of the price the variety of wood, to create incentives for a new wood architecture and to force the increased use of the healthy natural building material", explain the organizers. The OÖ Holzbaupreis 2022 is supported by the province of Upper Austria, represented by the provincial councils of the departments of economics, agriculture, housing and environment.

Upper Austria votes with
The vote of the Upper Austrians is also in demand: In the online voting for the audience award, everyone can participate and choose their personal favorite from the submitted residential buildings.

Honoring the award winners
