On behalf of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for the Environment, we would like to invite clusters and their members operating within the textile ecosystem to join the campaign on sustainable textiles and fashion titled ReSet the Trend – #ReFashionNow. This campaign has been launched recently to promote the EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles – one of the flagship initiatives of the Circular Economy Action Plan and the European Green Deal. It promotes the environmental, social, economic and health-related benefits of actions proposed in the Strategy; and invites citizens, in particular young Europeans, to become role models and make fast fashion “out of fashion”.

We want to hear from clusters and cluster members about their sustainable textile success stories. As such, we are inviting you to disseminate the campaign messages and assets by:

  • sharing DG Environment Social Media posts on Instagram; Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn with the #ReFashionNow hashtag and link to the campaign website, available in all EU languages ec.europa.eu/reset-the-trend

  • using and sharing campaign editable assets, available on the campaign website

  • promoting the campaign Instagram filter that resembles a fashion magazine cover, allowing users to present themselves as ‘’role models’’ and motivating their friends and followers to do so too. The filter can be accessed directly on the campaign website, section ‘Join the campaign’

  • providing inspirational stories from pioneering businesses, organizations, institutions, and individuals from across Europe who turn the EU Textiles Strategy vision into reality. The stories will be published on the European Commission ReSet the Trend - #ReFashionNow campaign website.

The ReSet the Trend communication mix, in addition to social media and the multilingual website, includes press and media activities, collaboration with influencers, a series of video clips, outreach to networks and multipliers. During the two months of its implementation, the campaign will address various challenges and aspects of textiles, including textiles waste, reuse, recycling, consumption of water and other resources, greenwashing and more.

More information on the campaign is available in this news article.
